About Us
The original thirteen acres is Susan's old home place. It holds precious memories and represents wholesome country living. It is only fitting that it be shared with our friends and neighbors. Susan spent many hours sitting by the old Oak tree reading and contemplating her future. She was there when Dad's pond was dug. She learned about the poultry industry when her dad built two chicken houses and raised chickens for almost forty years. He also raised cattle, horses and grew gardens that produced okra, tomatoes and purple hull peas.
Today the chickens, horses and cows are gone. The country feel and atmosphere remain. Star-gazing on a clear night is a favorite. It is not uncommon to hear coyotes in the distance and watch deer come and go. Hunting with something other than a camera is not permitted. It is a haven for wildlife. Trails throughout the sixty acres are excellent for hiking. The butterfly picture was taken while exploring the back sixty.
Ask Susan the name of the pet Brahman bull she had as a child.
